Show You Care at Station Park’s Community Caring Donation Day, June 12
Donate blood, school supplies and gift cards to local nonprofits and get a free meal from Santorini’s Greek Grill
FARMINGTON, Utah, June 5, 2020 — Station Park, Utah’s preeminent mixed-use lifestyle center in Farmington, Utah, is giving the public an opportunity to support three local causes during its Community Caring Day on Friday June 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be three ways to donate that day: giving blood, donating gift cards or dropping off school supplies, and anyone who donates that day will receive a voucher for a free meal at Santorini’s Greek Grill.
ARUP’s mobile blood vehicle will be parked in a space next to Buckle, west of Fountain Square. The organization asks the public to visit www.arupbloodservices.org to set up an appointment, using sponsor code B587. Walk-ins are also welcome. ARUP provides blood to the local Shriners Hospital for Children, University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Safe Harbor Crisis Center will have a booth west of Fountain Square to collect donations of gift cards for their clients. Safe Harbor provides shelter, supportive services and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault, as well as education, awareness and resources for the community.
"We are asking that you help us give survivors something that was taken from them when they were first victimized, their control to make decisions,” said Glady Larsen director of development for the shelter. “We can only do that with your help. We are asking that you drop off gift cards to give survivors the gift of choice. Gift cards can be in any amount, and we suggest even donating gift cards you’ve received and haven’t used.”
Young Automotive will also sponsor a booth near Fountain Square to support their Young Caring for Our Young Foundation. They are collecting school supplies and gift cards for children ages five to 18 years old. Young Caring for Our Young is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Foundation established in 2007 by Spencer and Sherry Young to provides funding for local education foundations and other non-profit causes that directly impact youth in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho.
Santorini’s Greek Grill and Siegfried and Jensen will also have a booth near Fountain Square to give a free meal voucher to anyone who donates blood or a gift card. As part of Station Park’s Community Caring Day, Santorini’s Greek Grill is donating one hundred $25.00 food gift cards to Safe Harbor Crisis Center and Siegfried and Jensen is donating one hundred $25.00 Old Navy gift cards to Safe Harbor Crisis Center.
